Welcome to the Tallwood High School Library Media CenterTallwood High School Educational Technology Team: Bringing the World to You!

The Library Media Center serves as a resource to the entire school community. The function of the LMC is to support the school’s goals and objectives through educationally enriched activities related to the gathering of information and the utilization of accessible technology.

At Tallwood High School, planners are an integral part of our students’ lives. Not only does a planner help to keep students organized, it also helps to promote good study skills. Any student that visits the LMC will be required to present their planner at all times. It is our hope that by emphasizing the students’ planners they will not only have their planner but they will also utilize it.
A new school year brings with it many changes. The LMC also has some changes. Students visiting the LMC during lunch must go to the cafeteria for the first 40 minutes of their lunch block. After 40 minutes, students may then go to the LMC for the remaining 10 minutes of the lunch block. During lunchtime, students will enter the LMC through the courtyard doors. Study block students will be dismissed to the LMC ten minutes after the study block begins. Students need a pass from one of their subject teachers. The pass is written on the homework page of the planner along with the signature of both the subject teacher and study block teacher.
