Kudos To THS’s Wind Ensemble & Mr. Rossetini:  This weekend (March 6 & 7) THS’s Wind Ensemble received a Superior Rating at the Virginia Band and Orchestra Director’s Association District Band Festival.  Since the Band Program earned a Superior rating in the fall at the State Marching Festival AND the top performing ensemble of the school (Wind Ensemble) earned a Superior at Band Festival, THS is now a Virginia Honor Band for 2009.  This hasn’t happened since 1995-1996.  This is the highest achievement any high school band program can receive at state level.  Congratulations!  We are very proud of you.

The Tallwood Band’s next public performances will be on April 28 at the Azalea Festival in a joint concert with the Norwegian King's Guard, and at their Spring Concert on May 26 at 7:00pm in the Tallwood Auditorium. The Band Program concludes their performance schedule with their annual Jazz/Percussion Coffee House on May 19th at 7:00pm in the THS Cafeteria.  The Spring Concert will feature the Symphonic Band and the Wind Ensemble. Come out to both nights of music with the Tallwood Band!
