THS Band Shines in Competition: 

Congratulations to the THS Band Program for their outstanding showings at the Boston Heritage Music Festival.  The Band Program competed in six different music categories.  The program received 10 different awards to include a Gold rating with the Winter Guard, Percussion Ensemble, and Symphonic Band.  The Winter Percussion, Jazz Ensemble and Wind Ensemble all received Silver ratings.  The percussion section from the Wind Ensemble earned the distinctive Maestro award for their performance.  THS also earned the Adjudicators’ awards for having an ensemble break a score of 92 out of 100 and the Sweepstakes awards for having two or more groups break 92 out of 100.  All in all, it was a very successful and educational trip.
