 The ACCESS program was established in 1988 to help students in the public schools of Southampton Roads to go to college. This mission is accomplished by inspiring the hope that a college education is attainable by supporting students in achieving the requirements for college acceptance, guiding them through the college application process, and by assisting them in acquiring the funds to attend college. Tallwood’s ACCESS advisor is Mr. Kevin Cenedella. Mr. Cenedella’s primary focus is providing instruction and assistance in the college application and financial aid process to junior and senior students who have a 2.5 GPA or higher. ACCESS can provide waivers to cover the fees for SAT and ACT tests and college applications for eligible students. This program assists all students regardless of income level. The ACCESS office is located in Tallwood’s Guidance Office. Tallwood’s ACCESS office hours are Wednesdays, 11:30 - 2:30, Thursdays and Fridays, 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Students and parents are encouraged to visit or contact Mr. Cenedella at 474-8555, ext. 58714, or by email at kevin.cenedella@vbschools.com.
